Inthepast,wealth,powerandevenknowledgewereinherited,toacertainextent,throughblood.Today,onlywealthisstillinheritedthroughblood,butatadiscount.Equalityandequitinessarenotthesame.Whatisequality?IworkhardandIamsmart,soIcanearnmoremoney.Youarestupid,soyouearnless.Thisisequal.Ihaveagoodfather,Iwasborntoberichsecondgeneration,youhaveapoorfather,youhavetoearnyourownmoneylittlebylittletosupportthefamily,thisisalsoequalitytosomeextent.Westerncapitalistworldoutlookemphasizesequality,notequitiness.Equalityforallisbynomeanstheultimatehumansocialcondition.Itisanaturallawoftheevolutionofhumansocietythattherichgetricherandthepoorgetpoorer.Ifthereisnoregulatorymechanism,thegapbetweentherichandthepoorwillonlywiden.Equitinessistheultimategoalthathumanbeingspursue,butequitinessinmostcases,isatthecostofefficiency.Chinaisalreadybetterthanwesterncountriesinefficiency,whichcanbereflectedinepidemiccontrolanddisasterrelief,whichalsoshowsthatChinaismoreequitythanwesterncountries.过去，财富、权力、甚至知识在一定程度上，都是通过血统继承。今天，只有财富还是通过血统继承，但也要打折扣。平等和公平，是不一样的。什么是平等？我干活努力我聪明，我能挣更多的钱，你笨，你挣的钱少，这个是平等。我有一个好爸爸，我生下来就可以当富二代，你有一个穷爸爸，你得一点一点自己挣钱养家，这某种程度上也算是平等的。西方资本主义世界观中强调人人平等，不强调公平。人人平等绝对不是一个人类终极的社会形态。富者愈富、贫者愈贫是人类社会演化的自然规律，如果没有调节制约机制，最终的贫富差距只会越来越扩大。而公平却是人类所追求的终极目标，但公平在大多数情况下，是要以效率为代价的。中国在效率上已经优于西方国家，这可以从控制疫情和抢险救灾中体现出来，这也正说明中国相对于西方国家来说会更加的公平。
